Overview

Job Title: Community Engagement and Policy Coordinator
Reports to: Executive Director
Classification: Non-Exempt, hourly (union represented)
Hiring Salary Range: $33 - $35 an hour (depending on experience)
Hours: Full time/ 40 hours weekly

• Serve as policy advocate and community organizer for YWCA Duluth.
• Facilitate the Child Care Implementation Task Force and coordinate local leaders working on childcare solutions.
• Advance policy initiatives, including education about the MN ERA; build community through outreach, conversations, and cross-group connections.
• Build trusting relationships, communicate clearly, analyze complex problems, educate and present information, and creatively solve problems.
• Uphold the mission and values, support reproductive justice, and contribute to a small feminist grassroots environment.

• Strong relationship-building, communication, and facilitation skills.
• Ability to work with diverse groups; capacity to think through complex policy issues.
• Commitment to reproductive justice and feminist grassroots organizing (as described).
