Overview

Ameri Corps Returning Leaders serve another term in collaboration with a dedicated team of 2-3 Ameri Corps Leaders. They support the following programs:
Ameri Corps Promise Fellows, a direct service program providing evidence-based, data-driven solutions to support and mentor young people in 6th-12th grade on their path to high school graduation;
Ameri Corps Groundwork Fellows, a capacity-building service opportunity helping Minnesota nonprofits and government agencies to serve young people more effectively;
Ameri Corps Youth Mental Health Fellows, a unique program combining Ameri Corps service and Century College coursework (obtaining a Mental and Behavioral Health Worker Certificate) focused on supporting middle and high school students with individual and whole-school mental health supports.

Member Duties

Ameri Corps Returning Leaders support implementing high-quality programming at schools and community-based organizations across the state of Minnesota. They will lead virtual monthly cohort connection spaces focused on fostering statewide collaboration and community among Ameri Corps members. They will also support the National Service Team in evaluating and tracking needs/interests of the current cohort and identifying intervention and professional development resources to meet member needs.

They will develop differentiated engagement strategies for members serving in various school and community-based settings (ex: middle vs. high school activities). They will also help the National Service Team in developing a deeper understanding of onsite member experience. Ameri Corps Leaders will participate in planning teams developed for Alliance and Ameri Corps annual trainings and events (National Service Days, Kick Off Committee, etc.).
