The Fond du Lac Band of Lake Superior Chippewa is an Anishinaabe (Ojibwe) band and one of six Bands of the Minnesota Chippewa Tribe. The Fond du Lac Reservation is located mainly in Carlton and Saint Louis Counties, near Duluth, Minnesota. The Treaty of 1854 between the United States Government and the Lake Superior Band of Chippewa established the Reservation, comprising 101,400 acres.
This position is placed with the Band’s Planning Division. The Division works towards developing economic development projects, expanding infrastructure, program development, and long‑range and strategic planning for the Band. The Eco3 VISTA Corps focuses on addressing poverty by addressing food access and systems, government policy, community development, education, health and wellness, creative placemaking, energy security, and more. Eco3 VISTA members work with organizations that are deeply embedded in the community to help develop solutions to community challenges through leveraging resources, building partnerships, expanding reach, and improving organizational efficiency.
