Job Description:
Essentia Health is recruiting for a Nursing Assistant in our Birthplace. You will provide direct care under supervision to contribute to mission and goals. Duties vary by unit. You will provide personal hygiene care, assist with nutrition, comfort care, and other assistance. You will transfer patients safely, take vital signs, and maintain records. You will recognize changes and report to the RN;
maintain a safe, clean environment. You will work within scope to meet regulatory requirements from the Joint Commission and other applicable federal, state, and local agencies.
- Provide direct patient care under supervision of an RN, Nurse Manager, Assistant Head Nurse, or Department Director; assist with basic nursing tasks as assigned.
- Assist with personal hygiene, nutrition, comfort care, and other patient needs.
- Transfer patients safely, take vital signs, and complete recordkeeping.
- Observe and report changes in patient condition to the RN.
- Maintain a safe, clean environment to promote healing.
- Work within scope to meet regulatory and accrediting requirements.
No education requirement.
Qualifications / Hiring IncentiveQualified candidates may be eligible for a hiring incentive of up to $1,500.
Position Details- 0.6 FTE
- 12 Hour Shifts
- Every third weekend
BLS certified or ability to become certified within 1 month from hire date.
Must Meet One Of The Following Qualifications- 6 months of nursing assistant experience
- Completion of one semester of clinical rotations within an accredited nursing program
- Verifiable completion of a recognized nurse aide training program
- Current registration on applicable state nursing assistant registry
