Licensed Practical Nurse – AM Shift Agency Overview

This full‑time inpatient LPN position at Griffin Memorial Hospital (GMH), a Department of Mental Health and Substance Abuse Services, provides direct and indirect nursing care under the supervision of registered nurses or licensed physicians.

Key duties include nursing assessment, planning, intervention, evaluation, health‑related education, case management, medication administration, and crisis intervention for patients with severe emotional or psychiatric disorders and substance abuse.

• Provide technical direct and indirect nursing care in a hospital setting.
• Conduct nursing assessments, plan and implement care, and evaluate outcomes.
• Administer medications and distribute treatment on the unit.
• Perform crisis intervention and collaborate with psychiatrists, therapists, and other nurses.
• Offer health education and case management to support recovery.

• Valid, permanent Oklahoma license as an LPN (per Oklahoma Board of Nursing) or a recognized Enhanced Nurse Licensure Compact license, with required years of experience (2 years for LPNIII, 1 year for LPNII, none for LPNI).
• Strong commitment to patient well‑being and safety.
• Good communication skills and ability to collaborate with interdisciplinary staff.

• Physical examination required; must be able to lift or carry 50pounds and apply a maximum pull/push force of 25pounds.
• Must hold a valid driver’s license and be willing to travel normally associated with the position.
• Drug and alcohol pre‑employment testing required for safety‑sensitive roles.

• Annual base salary $50,500–$60,000 plus holiday and shift differential.
