Job Description
Assists the physician with the full range of therapeutic and diagnostic endoscopic procedures, including specialized procedures. Participates in the on‑call rotation, and in the provision of endoscopic services to outreach locations.
Education Qualifications- Completion of healthcare program (such as LPN, CA, NA, EMT, etc.) or equivalent technical healthcare training, education or experience
- 8-12 months of related experience in healthcare or patient care experience
- Medical terminology
- Demonstrating proficiency assisting with routine diagnostic and therapeutic endoscopic procedures including screening flexible sigmoidoscopy, colonoscopy and EGD, and experience assisting in specialized procedures
- Experience using electronic medical record
- Assist physicians with the full spectrum of therapeutic and diagnostic endoscopic procedures, including advanced and specialized techniques.
- Support high‑quality patient care by ensuring readiness and efficiency during procedures.
This position must be able to work the following:
- 64 hours per pay period
- Rotating 8‑hour shifts with varied start times
- Start times: 7:00 AM, 7:30 AM, 8:00 AM
- On‑call shifts including evenings, overnights, weekends and holidays.
