Licensed Practical Nurse - Corrections

We are seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join the Clinic team at a correctional facility.

Under the supervision of physicians and clinic managers, the LPN provides patient assistance, performs designated procedures, and supports clinical staff through education, training, and quality control.

Qualifications

• Valid LPN license within 120 days of hire, maintained throughout employment
• BLS certification from AHA, Red Cross, or Military Training
• Experience in medical office patient care is preferred

• Knowledge of clinical standards, medical equipment, and documentation
• Strong communication, confidentiality, and teamwork skills
• Ability to administer injections, use computers, and assess patients appropriately
• Physical ability to stand, walk, lift up to 25 lbs, and perform related tasks

• Assist physicians with patient visits, procedures, and documentation
• Provide patient education and support safety and quality initiatives
• Maintain a professional, compassionate demeanor in a correctional environment

• Moderate noise with exposure to blood borne pathogens and laboratory reagents
• Physical demands include extensive standing, walking, and lifting
• Occasional exposure to unpleasant patient elements and equipment hazards
