Key Responsibilities
  • Provide direct resident care, including assistance with bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, oral hygiene, and other activities of daily living.

  • Assist residents with mobility, transfers, repositioning, and use of mobility equipment while following safe lifting practices.

  • Answer call lights promptly and respond to resident requests with kindness and professionalism.

  • Obtain and accurately document vital signs, weights, intake and output, and other assigned observations.

  • Observe residents for changes in physical, emotional, or mental condition and promptly report concerns to the licensed nurse.

  • Assist with meal service, feeding, hydration, and monitoring nutritional intake as directed.

  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation in the electronic medical record.

  • Keep resident rooms and common areas clean, organized, and free of safety hazards.

  • Follow individualized care plans while respecting each resident’s privacy, dignity, and personal preferences.

  • Communicate effectively with residents, families, coworkers, and other members of the interdisciplinary team.

  • Adhere to all infection prevention, safety, confidentiality, and facility policies and procedures.

  • Attend required training, staff meetings, and continuing education opportunities.

  • Perform other duties as assigned to support quality resident care.

  • Current certification as a Nursing Assistant (CNA) is required.

  • Previous experience in patient care or healthcare settings is preferred but not mandatory.

  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills to interact effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams.

  • Ability to perform physically demanding tasks and work in a fast-paced environment.

  • Compassionate, patient-focused attitude with a commitment to quality care.

  • Basic knowledge of infection control and safety procedures.

  • Flexibility to work various shifts including weekends and holidays as needed.
