** KEY RESPONSIBILITIES and TASKS:
*** Collaborate with management team to set quality benchmarks.
* Create standards in accordance with industry standards and customer expectations.
* Monitor employee attendance to ensure that the team has the manpower needed to complete projects on time.
* Reviewing employee work products to determine whether they meet quality standards.
* Monitor employees’ performance to identify areas for improvement and corrective action.
* Oversee and manage the quality team.
* Plan, direct, and coordinate the activities of the quality assurance department.
* Develop, implement, and maintain quality control systems and procedures.
* Ensure all products meet customer specifications.
* Maintain records of all product defects, complaints, or other issues that could affect product quality.
* Establish guidelines for testing and inspecting materials to ensure they meet quality standards.
* Creating, editing, and coordinating updates to system and process documentation, diagrams, and procedures as needed.
* Complete root cause analysis and corrective action for any defects noted and document.
* Records results on inspection forms or charts and reports number of defects found. Posts and maintains forms and charts of inspection data, quality levels, or special quality studies.
* Makes recommendation on disposition of questionable product to supervisor.
* May act as quality control department clerk, maintaining all quality records for the facility.
* Identify opportunities for improvement in production methods and recommend changes in equipment, materials, or processes.## Qualifications
** EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE**:
• Dexterity and preciseness required to operate gauges and testing equipment.
• High school or technical school education, or equivalent, with mathematics emphasis.
• Considerable mental and visual effort.
** SPECIFIC KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, LICENSES, CERTIFICATIONS, ETC:
*** Technical skills in manufacturing processes and methods including flow, layout, assembly, and production equipment.
* Leadership skills in manufacturing processes
* Quality orientation and attention to detail
* Problem analysis and problem resolution
* Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with ability to train employees.
* Computer experience preferred. Specifically in Microsoft word, Excel, PowerPoint.
* Lean manufacturing experience
* Ability to interpret blueprints and read a tape measure.
* Ability to do simple percentage calculations and log data.###
** PHYSICAL EFFORT
*** Ability to work on a PC as required.
* Ability to lift and carry 50 pounds.
* Ability to stand for extended periods of time during a normal workday or specified work period.
