Summary The Sales Teammate position’s primary responsibility is to fulfill our mission statement: “To create the most enjoyable shopping experience possible for our Guests.” Additionally, Sales Teammates perform a variety of sales, merchandising and operational tasks assigned by Store Management (e.g. cashiering, merchandise display and pulls, register procedures, and routine cleaning of facilities).
Compensation & BenefitsPay range: $13-$15/hr buckle pays a base rate plus commission on sales. The range listed is the estimated base rate plus commission for Teammates in this position.

- Greet Guests with a friendly, engaging attitude and provide legendary service.
- Answer questions about the store and merchandise.
- Recommend, select, and help locate or obtain merchandise based on Guests’ needs.
- Anticipate and fulfill Guests’ needs by suggesting additional items and creating a wardrobe experience.
- Demonstrate product utilization and share knowledge and education with the team.
- Maintain knowledge of current sales, promotions, payment policies, exchanges, and security practices.
- Contribute to personal sales per hour and total net sales goals set by Store Management.
- Provide legendary service throughout Front 5, sales floor, fitting rooms, and register area.
- Assist Guests in trying on or fitting merchandise.
- Check out and bag purchases.
- Prepare merchandise for alterations.
- Know all exchange and return procedures and use them as showmanship opportunities.
- Fill out and use the Sales Presentation Guide daily.
- Meet or exceed performance standards, including fit appointments, Buckle credit card and guest connect.
- Place special orders or call other stores to locate merchandise.
- Build and maintain Good Guest relationships to develop a client‑based business.
- Maintain knowledge of Buckle’s customer service expectations.
- Consistently perform leadership actions and maintain high standards even when the Manager is absent.
- Recognize recruiting opportunities via Jobs & Careers cards, email referrals and Teammate Recommend.
- Build relationships through Guest Loyalty and Guest Preferred.
- Maintain a professional and respectful attitude, creating a positive floor culture.
- Present merchandise to maximize sales and achieve optimal merchandise turn.
- Stay current on product range.
- Collaborate with teammates and Guests to identify improvements and new ideas.
- Ensure sales floor is consistently sized and new freight is appropriately displayed.
