Top Producer Account Manager
This Top Producer Account Manager will cover the Southern Minnesota territory, responsible for building long-term business relationships with 40 key farming operations across the country, each managing at least 10,000 row crop acres of corn and soybeans.
Responsibilities- Build incremental value by fulfilling specific customer needs through tailored solutions.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for all Bayer-related products, ensuring customers are knowledgeable about existing and new product offerings.
- Develop area plans to optimize sales and growth in alignment with marketing strategy, including financial and product forecasting, resource allocation, and tracking within budget.
- Communicate and collaborate with managers across all Bayer brands to maximize sales.
- Pilot and implement new offerings/solutions to a subset of accounts as required.
- Organize and coordinate with subject matter experts across all functions.
- Establish relationships with third-party value/service providers as needed.
- Ensure stakeholder responsibilities are established and executed according to plan, including negotiations, operations, dealer activities, and communications.
- Collaborate with the Agronomy team to ensure product/technical knowledge transfer to accounts.
- Bachelor's Degree.
- Proficiency in financial, time, and territory management.
- Valid Driver's License.
- Demonstrated self-motivation, initiative, assertiveness, and results orientation.
- Excellent communication skills (interpersonal, oral, and written).
- Ability to successfully work in a fast-paced and changing environment.
- Advanced computer and presentation skills (proficiencies in Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
- Willingness to travel.
- 8 years of relevant commercial experience plus a Bachelor’s Degree in a related field or 6 years of relevant experience plus a Master’s Degree or MBA in a related field.
- Degree in agronomy, agriculture, business, biology, or a related field.
- Agronomics, pest management, and plant physiology desirable.
- Knowledge of agricultural systems.
- Experience working in the seed industry recommended.
- Experience in sales, marketing, and/or account management.
