Schedule: Standard business hours (Mon–Fri, ~9–5)

Interview: Multi-step interview process (virtual interviews with sales leadership; additional steps as needed)

Must-Haves:

  • 2+ years of B2B sales experience (building materials preferred)
  • Experience selling to Architects, General Contractors, Installers, or Specifiers
  • Ability to influence the design and specification process
  • Strong relationship‑building and face‑to‑face sales skills
  • Experience managing a sales pipeline in a CRM (Salesforce preferred)
  • Ability to travel up to 50%
  • Strong presentation skills (AIA/CES and product trainings)
  • General understanding of construction processes
  • Ability to read and interpret construction blueprints
  • Self‑starter with the ability to work independently
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and Excel

Plusses:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in a related discipline
  • Building materials or construction product sales background
  • Experience using Dodge Data
  • Experience presenting AIA/CES accredited courses
  • Familiarity with dealer or distribution‑based sales models
  • Understanding of social media trends for sales and brand awareness
  • Experience collaborating with field technical or installer training teams

Day-to-Day:

  • Implement and evaluate agreed‑upon sales strategies and programs
  • Build and maintain relationships with Architects, Specifiers, General Contractors, and Installers
  • Influence product specifications and build a strong spec position in the territory
  • Identify and develop partnerships with top general contractors and installers
  • Promote Nichiha products as a preferred cladding solution
  • Identify, track, and manage specified and submitted projects
  • Maintain an active project pipeline through order receipt
  • Document all sales activities in
  • Present AIA/CES courses and assist with development of new offerings
  • Conduct product knowledge and technical trainings for contractors and installers
  • Gather and share market and competitive intelligence
  • Collaborate cross‑functionally with technical, field, and internal teams
  • Participate in regional and national trade shows and industry events
  • Assist with product development feedback and initiatives

Job Description:

Insight Global is seeking a Territory Manager for a top building materials client. This individual will be responsible for driving product specification and sales growth across the ND/SD/MN territory by working closely with architects, specifiers, general contractors, and installers. The role focuses heavily on influencing the design and specification process, developing strong industry partnerships, delivering technical and product presentations, and managing a robust sales pipeline from specification through order.
