Product Specialist

Overview

We are a premier staffing agency hiring a Product Specialist on behalf of a top-tier home improvement and building materials provider. In this showroom-based role, you will bridge the gap between product expertise, estimating, and sales. You'll work directly with both homeowners and contractors to design complete exterior solutions using premium, industry-leading brands for siding, decking, and railing systems.

• Consult & Guide: Work with homeowners and contractors in a modern showroom to guide them through product selection, project scope, and pricing.
• Estimate with Precision: Review architectural plans and perform material take-offs to build accurate project estimates and final proposals.
• Be the Expert: Provide deep product knowledge on premium exterior materials (including siding, decking, railings, and doors) and explain manufacturing capabilities clearly.
• Deliver Excellence: Ensure a seamless, professional experience for every customer from their initial inquiry to the final handshake.
• Collaborate: Partner with internal teams to make sure every order is executed perfectly.

• Industry Know-How: Solid experience in exterior building products, construction estimating, remodeling, or residential sales.
• Product Familiarity: Good knowledge of exterior systems and premium brands (like composite decking, advanced siding, and railing systems).
• Blueprint Literacy: Comfort reading architectural plans and generating accurate material lists.

  A consultative, friendly approach with top-notch communication and customer service skills.
• Tech & Math Savvy: Strong attention to detail with pricing, alongside comfort using Microsoft Excel and Quick Books.

• Entrepreneurial mindset and excitement about expanding and developing an exterior building products division.
• Staying attuned to market conditions and competitor products.

Pay offered to a successful candidate will be based on several factors including the candidate's education, work experience, work location, specific job duties, certifications, etc. In addition, the agency offers a comprehensive benefits package, including medical, prescription, dental, vision, AD&D, and life insurance offerings, short-term disability, and a 401K plan (all benefits are based on eligibility).
