Account Manager – Minneapolis, MN (Field/Remote)

As an Account Manager for Stanley Black & Decker’s Tools & Outdoor team, you’ll be a field‑based employee in the Minneapolis, MN area. Your responsibilities include driving top‑line sales, building and maintaining distributor relationships, and coordinating marketing and sales initiatives.

Responsibilities
  • Achieve top‑line sales targets based on division and local market goals by selling DEWALT, STANLEY, LENOX, IRWIN, BOSTITCH, and PORTER CABLE brands to key distribution partners.
  • Establish and develop key relationships with distributor partners, supporting all aspects of their business including marketing, training, program selling, rebate tracking, contests, and flyer distribution.
  • Assemble full‑year plans to grow the business by double digits over the prior year with top distributors, holding annual kick‑off meetings followed by mandatory quarterly updates.
  • Lead coordination and communication of mutual objectives, marketing plans, and user targets with MSA & distributor partners.
  • Gain expertise in channel‑specific pricing structures and programming.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Management, Marketing, or related field preferred.
  • 3–5 years of experience in sales or marketing for construction supplies with a proven track record delivering results.
  • Strong interpersonal, negotiation, problem‑solving, verbal and written communication, organization, and multitasking skills.
  • Valid driver’s license and physical ability to travel daily, up to 50% locally and 10% overnight.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft applications (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook).
Compensation & Benefits

Competitive salary with a total target cash compensation range of $84,000 – $135,200, inclusive of base salary and variable cash compensation. Eligible for a sales incentive plan or commission. Benefits include medical, dental, life, vision, disability, 401(k), Employee Stock Purchase Plan, paid time off, tuition reimbursement, and discounts on Stanley Black & Decker tools.
