Position Overview
Power your future with Qualus in our Specialized Field Service department as a Lead Field Service Technician. You will test, maintain, and repair a wide array of electrical equipment, including low and medium voltage circuit breakers, transformers, switch gear, motor controls, and more. As a leader in both the shop and field, you’ll spearhead critical operations, ensuring the reliability and functionality of essential electrical systems.

- Perform testing on low and medium voltage breakers, including Megger, Ductor, Hi‑Pot, Hi‑Current, and timing tests.
- Complete mechanical work and repairs on breakers, including teardown, refurbishment, and parts replacement.
- Utilize and accurately read meters.
- Read schematics and wiring drawings.
- Troubleshoot circuit controls.
- Read and plot time‑current curves.
- Read and understand electrical one‑line drawings and symbols.
- Test power and current transformers, including power factor and TTR.
- Accurately and consistently document using Power DB.
- Work effectively with electrical testing equipment and tools.
- 5–7 years of related experience in power plants, industrial services, primary power distribution and related protection and control schemes.
- Minimum 2 years of industrial or commercial power systems experience.
- Licenses and certifications: NETA 2, 3, or 4 preferred.
- High School Diploma.
- Reference and complete assignments as described in applicable specifications.
- Perform regular field work both indoors and outdoors.
- Strong interpersonal, communication, business acumen, and job‑management skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Power
DB, Word, Excel, Outlook). - Ability to effectively communicate in English, including reading and writing, for safety‑related materials, documentation, and client interactions.

The expected compensation range for this position is based on education, qualifications, prior relevant work experience, and work location.
