At a Glance- Position:
Maintenance Technician, 3rd Shift - Pay: $37.34 – $45.28 (range reflects base pay; an additional $1.50/hour shift differential applies for 3rd shift)
- Schedule:
Sunday evening – Friday morning, 10:00 PM – 6:30 AM - Benefits: healthcare, ESOP, profit‑sharing, paid time off, and more (see below for details)
We are seeking a proactive and skilled Maintenance Technician, 3rd shift. You will perform preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs of manufacturing equipment. This role requires expertise in welding, electrical systems, mechanics, hydraulics, and pneumatics. You will work collaboratively with the Maintenance Team and report directly to the Maintenance Facilitator.
Day‑to‑Day Responsibilities- Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair breakdowns on grinding machinery, including CNC machines.
- Maintain and repair hydraulic and pneumatic systems.
- Read and interpret mechanical and electrical diagrams and technical repair manuals.
- Conduct building equipment repairs, including HVAC systems.
- Safely install, operate, and repair machinery, tools, and equipment.
- Perform steel fabrications (cutting, bending, and welding techniques).
- Record maintenance activities and manage inventory in maintenance software.
- Safely rig, lift, and relocate heavy machinery and equipment.
- Conduct basic forklift maintenance.
- Operate personnel lifts and material handling equipment.
- Perform unexpected maintenance and work independently with minimal supervision.
- Experience:
2+ years in a maintenance or similar technical role. - Education:
High school diploma or GED. - Proficiency in troubleshooting and repairing mechanical systems.
- Strong knowledge of machines, tools, and maintenance techniques.
- Ability to read and interpret mechanical/electrical diagrams and repair manuals.
- Capability to fabricate and repair parts with precision.
- Ability to safely operate machining equipment, forklifts, and lifts.
- Availability to work full‑time 3rd shift (10:00 PM – 6:30 AM).
- Ability to lift up to 40 pounds.
- Ability to stand for extended periods.
- Frequent use of hands to handle drill bits and parts.
- Visual ability to inspect and verify quality (close vision, depth perception, color vision, etc.).
- Ability to pass a pre‑employment physical demonstrating essential job functions.
