Experienced Auto Glass Installation Technician

Job Summary

As an Experienced Auto Glass Technician, you’ll serve on the front line of the Safelite customer experience, bringing advanced technical expertise and a strong sense of ownership to every job. This role is ideal for a highly skilled technician who thrives in a fast‑paced, hands‑on environment and takes pride in delivering high‑quality workmanship and exceptional service. You will leverage your industry knowledge, along with Safelite’s cutting‑edge tools, training, and technology, to perform complex repairs, replacements, and recalibrations—both in‑shop and through our Mobile Glass Shop services.

• Provide all vehicle glass repair and replacement services at a Safelite Shop or Mobile Glass Shop efficiently, focusing on safety, quality, and customer service.
• Clean customer vehicles after each job.
• Recalibrate automotive safety systems, including troubleshooting and completing diagnostic testing.
• Proficiently operate Safelite’s tools and technologies:
  True Seal®, Ezi‑Wire™, Glass Table System (GTS), chemicals (as required by the “Safelite Way of Fitting”), work‑order and customer administration systems, and Safelite’s handheld Mobile Resource Management (MRM) technology.
• Safely operate company and customer vehicles throughout the day.
• Communicate with scheduled customers in‑person, via text, and on the phone; present, promote, and sell Safelite promotional items and services.
• Perform other duties as assigned and comply with all policies and standards.

• High School Diploma or GED/Equivalent.
• Valid state‑issued driver’s license; other license(s) as required to operate a company vehicle.
• Required:
  
  Safelite Safe Tech™ certification.
• Proven experience as an Auto Glass Technician (2+ years preferred).
• Physical ability to lift and carry up to 35 pounds routinely, and occasionally up to 50 pounds; able to stand for extended periods, work in tight spaces, bend, and twist; work safely with chemicals and in varied weather conditions.
• Ability to operate a motor vehicle in accordance with all laws; agreement to be monitored via in‑cab vehicle safety camera/video surveillance technology.
• Proficiency in using computerized diagnostic tools to complete recalibrations and troubleshoot issues.
• Strong customer‑service skills and professional appearance, adhering to company uniform and PPE policies.
• Willingness to maintain stable performance under professional or personal pressure and/or opposition.

• Competitive weekly pay, ranging from $24.00—$31.75/hr.
