Low Voltage Technician

Per Mar Security Services is seeking a Low Voltage Technician to install, service, and troubleshoot security, alarm, and monitoring systems for residential, commercial, and industrial clients across the Midwest. In this field-based role, you will install and test low voltage cabling, panels, cameras, and access control, using wiring diagrams and blueprints to ensure quality and code compliance. You'll diagnose and repair system issues, document all work, and provide professional on-site customer service.

Responsibilities

• Install, terminate, and test low voltage cabling for security, alarm, and monitoring systems
• Install and configure security panels, cameras, access control, and related devices
• Follow wiring diagrams, blueprints, and work orders to complete projects accurately
• Troubleshoot and repair low voltage systems and connectivity issues on customer sites
• Ensure all work complies with safety standards, codes, and company quality guidelines
• Document work performed, materials used, and test results accurately
• Collaborate with project managers and security technicians to meet project deadlines
• Provide courteous on-site customer service and explain basic system functions to clients
• Maintain tools, equipment, and company vehicle in good working order
• Participate in ongoing training on new security technologies and systems
