Job Description & How to Apply Below
Mission Hires is seeking a hands-on Technical Service & Warranty Manager for a privately held OEM manufacturer of high-performance heavy equipment and work tools. This direct-hire role will serve as the primary technical authority for customer support, warranty administration, field service coordination, and hydraulic diagnostic training. The ideal candidate brings deep mobile hydraulic equipment expertise, strong communication skills, and a stable work history.
The position is primarily on-site with minimal travel after an initial field-training immersion.
- Serve as the primary technical support resource for internal field technicians, global dealers, and end-user customers troubleshooting complex hydraulic and mechanical equipment issues.
- Lead technical diagnosis and root-cause analysis using electrical and hydraulic schematics, multimeters, pressure gauges, flow meters, and related diagnostic tools.
- Manage warranty claim processing, maintain service records and the central service database, and coordinate the master field service scheduling calendar.
- Partner with engineering, product support, and sales teams to communicate machine performance data, recommend product improvements, and support custom client specifications.
- Develop repair procedures, service documentation, and technical training materials for equipment maintenance and repair.
- Deliver classroom and hands-on technical training for internal technicians, dealer representatives, and customers.
- Complete an initial 2–3 month field-training immersion alongside experienced technicians to gain full knowledge of equipment and attachment mechanics.
- Provide support at select industry trade shows and participate in occasional international travel opportunities as needed.
- At least 5 years of technical diagnostic experience with mobile heavy equipment and hydraulic machinery, such as excavators, material handlers, specialized attachments, or comparable equipment.
- Advanced ability to read and interpret complex hydraulic and electrical schematics.
- Demonstrated hands-on experience troubleshooting hydraulic systems using pressure gauges, flow meters, multimeters, and other diagnostic tools.
- Associate degree in Fluid Power, Heavy Equipment Technology, or a related discipline; formal hydraulic certification or equivalent mechanical field experience will also be considered.
- Strong verbal communication, public speaking, and training skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts clearly to technicians, dealers, and customers.
- Experience coordinating field service work, maintaining technical service records, or processing warranty claims.
- A stable and progressive employment history, ideally showing multi-year tenure with prior employers.
- U.S. Citizenship or Permanent Residency (Green Card) is required.
- Ability to work on-site and complete limited travel for field training and industry trade shows.
- Salary up to $98,000 per year based on technical depth and experience.
- Annual profit-sharing opportunity.
- Full corporate benefits package. Direct-hire, full-time position with a stable, privately held OEM.
- First-shift Monday through Friday schedule.
- Minimal ongoing travel, approximately three weeks per year after initial training.
- Optional opportunities for travel to Sweden.
- Family-oriented, low-politics culture with a strong history of employee retention.
- Weekly Thursday company breakfasts and employee appreciation events.
- Clean, modern manufacturing environment and opportunities to work closely with engineering and product teams.
