Job Overview
Residential Services, Inc. (RSI) is hiring a part‑time Awake Overnight, Independent Living Skills Worker for our In‑Home Youth, Families, & Respite program in Duluth, MN. As an IHSW, you will help people with disabilities and mental illness live their best, most independent lives. You should be compassionate, warm‑hearted, and reliable with a passion for advocating for others.
Hours & CompensationHours:
Every other week rotation of Tuesday/Wednesday 10:00 pm – 6:30 am (days can be flexible if needed) and Friday/Saturday 10:00 pm – 7:00 pm.
Salary: $20.25 – $21.25 per hour, reduced rate for asleep overnight hours.

As an IHSW you will serve youth and young adults living in private home settings. You will help individuals achieve their maximum level of independence by providing skill training and necessary support to perform everyday tasks and by working collaboratively with the person and their support team to implement support plans. Your duties include:

- Reduction/elimination of maladaptive behavior
- Sensory/motor development
- Socialization
- Vocational and educational
- Health and wellness
- Valid driver’s license with no restrictions and a working vehicle
- Two‑year degree in a behavioral science or related field preferred, or
- One year of experience working with individuals with disabilities preferred
- Pass post‑offer background check and motor vehicle report check
RSI has been working in Minnesota communities since 1978 in home and community‑based settings for people living with disabilities and mental illness, providing a range of services tailored to individuals of all ages, identities, and abilities.
