Heading Home Corps – Housing Resource Navigator Overview
Everyone deserves a safe place to call home. Join our team at SMOC as a Housing Resource Navigator, and you can help more Minnesotans meet their housing needs and build brighter futures.
Housing Resource Navigators work side-by-side with people experiencing housing insecurity to help assess their needs, set goals, and navigate available resources. With great training and coaching, anyone can make a successful Housing Resource Navigator. Individuals who have lived experience with housing insecurity and homelessness are encouraged to apply.
Position DetailsThis is an Ameri Corps member position with Heading Home Corps.
ResponsibilitiesProvide direct support to individuals seeking stable housing by assessing needs, setting goals, and navigating available resources.
Compensation & Benefits- A paycheck every two weeks
- Additional money for college tuition or student loans. Members aged 55 and older may gift this to their child, grandchild, stepchild, step-grandchild, or foster child
- Federal student loan forbearance and interest repayment
- Free individual health insurance for full-time members
- Child care assistance – based on family size and income
