Overview
Residential Services, Inc. (RSI) is hiring a part‑time asleep overnight Direct Support Professional (DSP) for our youth foster care home in Duluth, MN. As a DSP, you will help people with disabilities and mental illness live their best, most fulfilling lives. No prior experience or certifications are required.
Program DetailsThe Celia youth foster program is located in Duluth, MN near the Miller Hill Mall and provides support to boys ages 6‑11 with cognitive disabilities, physical disabilities, and mental health conditions.
Shift Schedule10:00 pm – 8:00 am (asleep hours) and 6:00 am – 8:00 am (awake hours). Two days a week and every other weekend required.
Compensation$18.50 per hour for asleep hours
. $25.25‑$25.75 per hour for awake hours
. A wage exception up to $6.50 per hour may apply depending on staffing needs and is tied to the individual(s) receiving services.

- Assist individuals with disabilities and mental illness in daily living activities.
- Medication administration and medication record keeping.
- Household duties, including cleaning and meal preparation.
- Behavioral management and support during incidents.
- Personal hygiene assistance and medical support.
- Participate in community activities such as shopping, meals, movies and fitness.
- Develop meaningful relationships with residents and contribute to a person‑centered culture.
- Pass a post‑offer background check.
- Valid driver’s license; ability to pass an MVR check when working days or evenings.
