Overview
Saint Louis County’s Public Health and Human Services Department seeks a para‑professional to provide direct services to individuals served in Children & Family Services. The role supports professional staff and provides case management services to customers, including assessing needs, determining program eligibility, maintaining accurate records, and initiating referrals. The position reports to assigned staff.
Responsibilities- Providing in‑home and community‑based direct services.
- Supervising parenting time between children and parents involved in child‑protection cases.
- Assessing client needs.
- Transporting clients.
- Coordinating with social workers and other providers.
- Maintaining records, reports, information, and referral data.
- Performing other duties as assigned by the supervisor.
Typical work environment conditions include constant speaking, near vision, and inside work settings. Frequent activities include lifting, carrying, sitting, standing, walking, hearing, vision, working with others, and customer contact. Occasional activities include reaching, rotating neck, stooping, wrist turning, clients with behavior challenges, extended day, and driving. Physical requirements include lifting up to 10 lbs stationary and 10 lbs while moving; for certain units may require lifting up to 30 lbs.

Salary range: $23.96 – $32.96 per hour (including longevity pay).
