SchedulePart‑time, rotating shift. Days of work vary. Travel required to transport and accompany individuals to community employment, community outings, and recreational activities. Shift differential is available for hours between 6:00 pm and 6:00 am.
Salary$22.62 – $28.94 per hour
Job SummaryThe Job Coach assists individuals with cognitive/intellectual disabilities or related conditions in obtaining employment, teaching them their job and providing ongoing coaching while they work. The role also supports participants in the community and at the program site through volunteer work and community activities, acts as a liaison between local businesses and program participants, and helps the program meet Department of Labor, MN State licensing, and CARF standards.
Candidates may be eligible for up to a $2,500 hiring bonus.
Responsibilities- Teach and coach program participants’ job and independent living skills and provide ongoing job support.
- Act as liaison between businesses for program and community based opportunities for participants.
- Document supported person’s activities, progress and care by recording, summarizing and maintaining data in standard forms and reports.
- Participate in daily operations of the site to meet licensure, legal and accreditation requirements and to adhere to established CBS/MSOCS policies and procedures.
- At least 18 years of age.
- Current and valid driver’s license.
- Ability to read, understand, write sample reports, do basic arithmetic, and interpret charts and graphs.
- Basic math skills.
- Clear communication skills.
- Basic computer skills.
- Experience working effectively with diverse backgrounds and cultures, demonstrating cultural responsiveness.
- Experience implementing training or employment programs for individuals with cognitive/intellectual disabilities, mental illness, chemical dependency, physical disability, brain injury, and/or displaced workers.
Resume must clearly describe experience in the areas listed and indicate the beginning and ending month and year for each position held.
Background ChecksDirect Care and Treatment will conduct reference checks to verify job‑related credentials and a criminal background check prior to appointment.
