The Client Resource Specialist is a member of Justice North's interdisciplinary legal team and works alongside attorneys and legal staff to help clients overcome barriers that affect their ability to resolve civil legal problems. The position provides holistic client support by connecting clients with community resources, assisting with benefits and services, providing crisis support, and coordinating with community partners. The Client Resource Specialist helps clients navigate complex systems while ensuring they are better positioned to engage in their legal cases and achieve long-term stability.

Justice North encourages applicants with backgrounds in social work, human services, psychology, counseling, public health, case management, victim advocacy, and related fields. Social work licensure is not required. Essential FunctionsThe Client Resource Coordinator provides client-centered support that complements legal representation by helping clients address barriers outside the courtroom that affect their legal matters. This work includes:
Case Management- Assess client needs and identify barriers affecting legal representation.
- Connect clients with community resources, including housing, transportation, public benefits, food assistance, behavioral health services, domestic violence services, and other supports.
- Assist clients in applying for benefits and supportive services.
- Provide crisis intervention, emotional support, and short-term problem-solving related to the client's legal matter.
- Meet clients in a variety of settings, including Justice North offices, homes, shelters, courts, and community agencies as appropriate.
- Maintain timely, accurate, and confidential client records, documentation, and timekeeping in Justice North's case management system.
- Collaborate with attorneys and legal staff to identify client needs and develop holistic support strategies.
- Participate in staff meetings, case consultations, and interdisciplinary planning to support effective client services.
- Coordinate with community organizations and service providers.
- Advocate for clients in non-legal systems to improve access to services and resources.
- Participate in community outreach, legal education, and relationship-building with community partners.
- Assist with grant reporting, data collection, and program evaluation as needed.
- Contribute to the development and continuous improvement of policies, procedures, and best practices for client support services.
- Provide or assist with internal training on community resources, trauma-informed practices, crisis intervention, or related topics.
