As a Service to the Armed Forces Specialist with the American National Red Cross, you will provide critical support to service members, veterans, and their families through emergency communications, casework, and referrals. In this mission-driven, humanitarian role, you will coordinate with military commands, community partners, and volunteers to connect clients with essential resources, resiliency programs, and disaster assistance. You will maintain accurate case records, deliver outreach and briefings on installations and in the community, and uphold our values of compassion, collaboration, diversity, and volunteerism while making a direct impact on military families nationwide.
Responsibilities
- Provide direct casework services and referrals to military members, veterans, and their families
- Coordinate emergency communications between service members and their families
- Support delivery of resiliency workshops and outreach events on and off installations
- Collaborate with Red Cross volunteers, military commands, and community partners
- Maintain accurate client records, reports, and data in case management systems
- Educate military families on Red Cross programs, benefits, and community resources
- Participate in disaster response activities as assigned
- Ensure services are delivered in a culturally competent, trauma-informed manner
- Assist with volunteer engagement, training, and coordination
- Represent the Red Cross at community and military outreach events
