Systems & Data Automation Engineer
OverviewAs a Systems & Data Automation Engineer, you will tap into curiosity and collaborate with innovative people worldwide to design, implement, and maintain integrated automation and data systems in a manufacturing environment.
Responsibilities- Initiate and conduct technical programs related to data integration and information flow across multiple platforms supporting safety, quality, service, and cost.
- Lead design, development, implementation, and maintenance of software systems integrated with upper-level manufacturing and business data systems and lower-level control systems.
- Maintain data systems to provide real‑time and historical analytics information for decision making.
- Support development and adoption of software best practices to enable commercialization and value‑stream improvement.
- Communicate project status and issues to stakeholders to ensure timely resolution of milestones.
- Provide high‑level troubleshooting and tactical support for day‑to‑day manufacturing operations.
- Bachelor’s degree (or higher) and three (3) years of systems engineering, control systems, IT analyst, or similar manufacturing experience in a private, public, government or military environment.
- OR Associate’s degree (or higher) and eight (8) years of experience in the same areas.
- Additional qualifications:
Bachelor’s in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering or Electrical Engineering; 10 combined years of experience; passion for SMART Manufacturing, Industry 4.0, connected manufacturing; database skills including SQL scripts, stored procedures; MES integration; PLC, SCADA, Ethernet, Modbus;
Microsoft development environment; cloud‑based architecture; experience with Symphony AI, Wonder Ware, and other related tools; strong programming skills in C#, JavaScript, Python, Web API, REST, ASP.NET MVC, UI; secure computing;
Dev Ops tooling such as Azure Dev Ops, Git, Jenkins, Chef, or Puppet.
Onsite:
Hutchinson, MN.
Travel:
Up to 5% domestic.
Relocation assistance may be authorized.

Competitive base pay of $124,127‑$151,710, plus variable incentive pay if eligible.
