CDL Class A Driver; Transport

Spee Dee Delivery is a family owned and operated company that was started in 1978. It operates standard, next-day ground delivery and has over 1,800 employees across the Midwest. The corporate headquarters and main sort facility are located in St. Cloud, MN.

The CDL Class A Driver (Transport) is responsible for driving a tractor-trailer combination or straight truck to transport parcels between terminals.

• Monday-Friday, 5:00 PM start
• 10-15 hours of overtime expected each week
• Paid overtime at time and a half after 40 hours per week
• $23.00-$27.00 per hour, based on experience
• $5.00 shift premium for start times between 5:00 PM and 4:59 AM

• Conduct a pre-trip inspection before driving to ensure mechanical, safety, and emergency equipment are in good working order
• Turn in pre-trip form and complete mileage and maintenance forms
• Drive between terminals to transport parcels
• Maintain all required DOT and company safety certifications
• Wash the exterior of tractor and equipment daily
• Assist other drivers with loading, delivery, or pick-up as needed

• Operate a manual transmission
• Possess or obtain a doubles/triples endorsement
• Good customer service and organizational skills
• Work independently and make quick decisions

• At least 21 years of age
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred
• Valid CDL Class A driver's license with a clean driving record that meets company standards

• Pass a DOT physical
• Lift 50 pounds regularly, up to 100 pounds occasionally
• Full range of motion with no limits on grasping, standing, squatting, stair climbing, walking, etc.
• Work with all types of freight, including hazardous material, perishable food and alcohol, firearms, ammunition, and live animals
