At Cura Health, our Resident Transport Driver play an important role in ensuring residents receive safe, reliable, and compassionate transportation. We are seeking a dependable and caring individual who is committed to resident safety and enjoys helping others. In this role, you will transport residents to and from medical appointments, dialysis, and other scheduled destinations while providing courteous and respectful assistance throughout the trip.

The Resident Transport Driver is responsible for operating facility vehicles safely, assisting residents with entering and exiting the vehicle, properly securing wheelchairs and other mobility equipment, maintaining timely transportation schedules, and communicating with nursing staff regarding resident appointments and transportation needs. This position also helps ensure facility vehicles are clean, safe, and ready for use.

Responsibilities
  • Safely transport residents to medical appointments, dialysis, and other scheduled destinations.
  • Assist residents with entering and exiting vehicles safely.
  • Properly secure wheelchairs, walkers, and other mobility equipment.
  • Coordinate transportation schedules with nursing staff and communicate delays or changes.
  • Complete required vehicle safety checks and transportation documentation.
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and fueled facility vehicle.
  • Follow all traffic laws, safety procedures, and facility policies.
  • Provide residents with compassionate, respectful, and professional assistance.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
  • High school diploma or GED preferred.
  • Must possess a valid driver’s license and maintain an acceptable driving record.
  • Previous experience transporting residents, patients, seniors, or individuals with disabilities is preferred but not required.
  • CNA or other healthcare experience is a plus but not required.
  • Must be able to safely assist residents entering and exiting vehicles.
  • Ability to safely secure wheelchairs, walkers, and other mobility equipment during transportation.
  • CPR/BLS certification preferred or willingness to obtain upon hire.
  • Must be able to perform the physical requirements of the position, including assisting residents and handling mobility equipment.
