Store Manager

Responsibilities
  • Assist the Store Manager in controlling assets and daily operations.
  • Consult with the Store Manager to establish action plans for selling, restocking, merchandising, ordering, and scheduling.
  • Assume responsibility for the entire store in the absence of the Store Manager.
  • Provide knowledge and guidance to employees and customers across all departments.
  • Track inventory, sales statistics, and expenses to ensure profitability.
  • Direct staff to ensure departmental responsibilities and standards are completed.
  • Keep the Store Manager informed about inventory movement and customer trends.
  • Ensure quality customer service is maintained.
  • Perform general administrative duties and be trained in the Store Manager’s responsibilities.
  • Deliver extraordinary customer service as outlined in the customer service manual.
  • Promote and sell services and merchandise offered by Hibbett.
  • Practice all company policies as listed in the operations, personnel, visual, and customer service manuals.
  • Protect company assets and financial information by ensuring accurate internal controls and reporting potential fraud risks.
  • Supervise employees in the absence of the Store Manager, including interviewing, training, planning, assigning, directing work, and resolving problems.
Qualifications
  • Experience working in a retail environment, preferably footwear or athletic apparel.
  • 1–3 years of customer service experience.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast‑paced environment.
  • Ability to assist in managing a team and keep up with overall goals and profits.
  • Self‑starter with initiative to take on important tasks without being asked.
  • Strong attention to detail, capable of handling multiple tasks simultaneously with precision.
  • Team‑player who is passionate about outstanding customer service and merchandising.
