AboutThe Role
We are looking for an experienced Machine Operator to join our team at our Dumfries site.
The successful candidate will be responsible for safely operating a wheeled 360 excavator within a busy recycling and waste management environment.
Key Responsibilities- Safely operating a wheeled 360 excavator
- Loading and moving materials around the site
- Sorting and handling waste and recyclable materials
- Carrying out daily checks and basic maintenance of the machine
- Reporting any defects or safety concerns promptly
- Keeping the working area clean, safe and organised
- Following all company health and safety procedures
- Supporting the wider site team when required
We’re looking for someone with:
- Previous experience operating a wheeled 360 excavator is essential
- Relevant operator tickets would be beneficial but are not essential
- A strong awareness of health and safety
- The ability to work confidently within a busy operational environment
- A reliable and flexible approach to work
- Willingness to work additional hours when required
