We’re seeking a motivated Estimator who’s ready to own the full lifecycle of bids and projects—from early opportunity to final completion—while making a meaningful impact on our business and the communities we serve.
In this role, you’ll work closely with field teams, project managers, subcontractors, and leadership to develop competitive bids and manage projects across a variety of construction services including earthwork, grading, drainage, asphalt paving, seal coating, pavement markings, and signage.

What You’ll Do- Prepare detailed, accurate estimates using digital takeoff tools, past cost history, and collaboration with field personnel.
- Identify and pursue bid opportunities; visit job sites and attend pre‑bid meetings to understand project needs.
- Complete takeoffs from plans and site surveys, maintaining organized and reliable backup documentation.
- Build strong relationships with suppliers, subcontractors, and vendors to ensure current pricing and availability.
- Execute contracts/subcontracts for awarded projects and clearly communicate bid packages to field teams.
- Manage awarded projects from start to finish, including scheduling, administration, and billing/collections.
- Review design options and provide recommendations based on cost, quality, and constructability.
- Work independently on large, complex projects while also collaborating with your team to continuously improve estimating practices.
- Champion safety and ensure full compliance with company policies and OSHA/MSHA regulations.
- Perform other related responsibilities as needed in a dynamic, fast‑paced environment.
- A degree in Construction Management or Civil Engineering is preferred—but equivalent experience in commercial paving, HMA, or related construction is also valued.
- Strong digital estimating skills; experience with estimating software is a plus.
- Ability to interpret plans, specifications, and contracts confidently.
- Excellent communication skills, attention to detail, and strong analytical thinking.
- Ability to manage multiple deadlines and bids with efficiency.
- A collaborative mindset paired with the ability to work independently.
- Valid driver’s license with a satisfactory driving record.
