Job Description Summary

• Employee is responsible for testing asphalt, soil, concrete, and aggregates to ensure they meet required specifications.

• Partners and coordinates daily/weekly scheduling with management.
• Clear understanding of material procedures/production.
• Basic computer skills with Word, Outlook, and Excel.
• Must be self-motivated.
• Collaborate with Quality Control Manager and other staff to ensure specifications are met and to support daily production schedules/estimates.
• Ensure ethical behavior and safety standards as required by the company and OSHA guidelines.
• Prepare and submit proper documentation to the appropriate Quality Control personnel and/or agency.
• Evaluate test results and address problems as they arise.
• Mathematical comprehension.
• Maintain a courteous and professional manner with co-workers, customers, and the general public.
• Be flexible with last-minute schedule changes, location changes, and shift changes. Overtime and out-of-town work may be required.
• Work outside for long periods of time.
• Initiative to perform or assist with other positions to complete the job.
• Adhere to PPE policy and maintain PPE in functional condition.
• Lift and carry up to 50 lbs.
• Must pass drug test and criminal check.
• Regular and predictable attendance is an essential function of the job.

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred but not required.
• WVDOH asphalt field certification preferred but not required (training available for qualified applicants).
• Other state certifications as required.
