The Co Team Leader is required to provide leadership for the successful operation of the entire sales floor and receiving area. The CTL creates and leads a sales team that is passionate about selling merchandise and ensuring a good associate and customer experience. Responsibilities include all aspects of merchandising, Associate development, customer service, and financial oversight.
Primary Responsibilities- Assist the Store Team Leader with managing payroll budgets, expenses, store banking, shrink reduction, and the timely completion of related reports to ensure financial and operational goals are met.
- Demonstrate Ollie’s “Yes I Care, Yes I Can” behaviors in providing exceptional Associate and Customer service experiences; ensure all company standards are consistently demonstrated in every Associate and Customer interaction.
- Ensure that store standards, seasonal transition planning, inventory processes, and company programs meet all operational expectations.
- Develop and execute talent planning to support associate growth.
- Ensure proper scheduling and staffing to meet business needs.
- Perform all functions to open and close the store when needed and any additional responsibilities and duties as assigned.
- High School diploma or equivalent.
- Minimum of 2 years of retail management experience with a mid to large size retailer.
- Scheduling flexibility to work evenings, weekends, holidays, and seasonal periods on a regular basis.
- Must have a valid Driver’s license.
- Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
- Ability to push and pull up to 35 pounds.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and work in a safe manner.
- Management experience in retailers such as Walmart, 5 Below, Burlington Stores, Big Lots, Dollar General, Rural King, Gabes, Dick’s Sporting Goods, and Bed Bath & Beyond is an asset.
