This position is for highly organized and customer-centric individuals who have a passion for delivering outstanding results. Previous handyman experience is an asset, but not required - 5+ years residential and/or commercial painting and drywall finishing experience is necessary. House Doctors is a professional handyman and home improvement service company specializing in both large and small jobs in the Kanawha Valley/Charleston WV, area. We are looking for energetic and friendly people who enjoy working on various home improvement and maintenance projects such as walls, and ceilings repairs, new drywall installation, painting inside and outside etc.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Working safely, keeping the jobsites clean and safe for our customers and other technicians.
- Communicating effectively, keeping the customers and the office informed the project status and any deviations to schedule and budget.
- Help estimating and completing projects on time and on budget.
- Organizing and managing equipment required to complete daily tasks.
- Working with clients to provide exceptional customer service.
- Representing House Doctors in the local community, and networking with potential customers as needs arise.
- 5+ years of painting/drywall experience a must.
- Hands on with a knowledge of the principles, techniques, equipment, and supplies used in the painting and drywall industry
- Must be able to match existing textures and apply new textures as needed.
- Ability to learn and operate basic computer programs and systems - Service Titian experience a plus.
- Friendly personality and committed to great customer service
- A strong work ethic and highly dependable, and punctual.
- Able to perform physical labor work including bending, lifting (50+ lbs), and handling tools
- Must have transportation, valid driver's license, and clean driving record.
