Position: Jumbo Operator for Thyssen Mining
Location: North Cowichan

Thyssen Mining is seeking experienced Jumbo Operators for underground mining operations in Ontario and British Columbia. Emphasizing safety and production, this role requires expertise in mechanized bolting equipment.

Become a key member of Thyssen Mining's team by operating Jumbo and Maclean bolters. Candidates should possess at least five years of underground mine development experience, with a focus on ground support installation and geological condition identification. The work involves a strong commitment to safety and effective teamwork in demanding underground environments.

Key Responsibilities:

• Operate mechanized Jumbo and Maclean bolting equipment

• Ensure compliance with safety and production standards

• Identify geological conditions for effective bolting

• Collaborate in a team-oriented work environment

• Work in challenging underground settings for 12-hour shifts

Requirements:

• Minimum 5 years of underground mining experience

• Valid Underground Hard Rock Miner Common Core certification

• Demonstrated experience with bolting equipment

• Strong knowledge of ground support methods

• Physical capability to meet job demands
