Reporting to the Procurement Manager, you will lead various procurement activities that meet the CVRD's mission of providing value to the community. Your background in public sector procurement will serve as an asset in this collaborative environment. Candidates should possess significant experience in local government procurement practices.
Key Responsibilities:
• Oversee procurement for essential goods and services
• Deliver clear procurement guidance to internal teams
• Maintain compliance with all relevant procurement policies
• Interact with stakeholders to assess purchasing needs
• Attend occasional evening and weekend meetings as needed
Requirements:
• Two-year diploma in relevant field required
• Four-plus years' experience in public sector procurement
• BC Class 5 Driver’s License mandatory
• SCMP or recognized procurement training preferred
• Willingness to consider relevant experience and training
