Parks and Trails Division Senior Manager

Lead the CVRD's Parks & Trails Division in Duncan, BC. This role directs programs and operations for a vibrant range of parks and trails services while managing a talented team.

The Senior Manager position reports to the General Manager, Operations and oversees park land acquisition, development, and community park systems. With extensive experience in policy planning, budgeting, and project management, you will help formulate and evaluate strategies aligned with regional goals. Contributing to environmental initiatives and targeted communication campaigns is key to this impactful role.

Key Responsibilities:

• Direct operations and maintenance of parks and trails

• Manage community and regional parks master plans

• Develop budgets and oversee financial reconciliations

• Represent management in unionized staff negotiations

• Implement grant applications and communication strategies

Requirements:

• Degree in Parks/Recreation or related field

• 6+ years in parks and trails management

• 2+ years in supervisory or management role

• Extensive design and construction experience

• Valid Class 5 BC Driver’s License
