Duncan Senior Manager, Parks & Trails

Lead the Parks and Trails Division at CVRD in Duncan, BC. This senior management role focuses on creating and implementing programs for local parks and trails.

As the Senior Manager, you will report directly to the General Manager, Operations and supervise a dedicated team in the execution and maintenance of community park initiatives. Your extensive experience in budget management, project oversight, and policy planning will be crucial in aligning operations with corporate goals. You will also ensure effective communication strategies are in place.

Key Responsibilities:

• Formulate and implement parks and trails programs

• Oversee operations for parks, trails, and urban forest assets

• Lead budgeting and grant application processes

• Manage communications and stakeholder engagement

• Represent CVRD management in union matters

Requirements:

• Degree in Parks/Recreation or related field

• Over 6 years of progressive management experience

• 2+ years in supervisory roles

• Strong skills in design, planning, and operations

• A valid Class 5 BC Driver’s License
