Work Experience Required Qualifications & Skills
- Education:
Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering or Marine Engineering. - Experience:
5-10 years of experience in mechanical design within the marine/offshore oil & gas sector (FPSO, drillships, or jackups). - Software Proficiency:
Proficiency in AutoCAD, Solid Works, or similar 3D modeling software, along with Finite Element Analysis (FEA) tools. - Codes & Standards:
Thorough knowledge of ASME, API, and ABS standards. - Interpersonal
Skills:
Strong communication and teamwork skills to collaborate with internal stakeholders, vendors, and clients. - Licensure:
Professional Engineer (PE) License (preferred) or capability to acquire.
- Subsea systems design and maintenance.
- Marine structural engineering and hydrodynamics.
- Project, material, and piping design for marine units.
