The Physical Therapist (PT) provides a variety of medical services across settings such as Acute, Outpatient, and Inpatient Rehab to help injured or ill individuals recover or improve function. A PT assesses, diagnoses, treats, and helps prevent injuries and health conditions affecting movement and daily activities across all age groups, including infants, children, adolescents, adults, and geriatrics. PTs not only restore physical function and mobility but also promote wellness and enhance quality of life.

RESPONSIBILITIES

(ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS):
  • Evaluating functional levels and creating individualized treatment plans.
  • Completing administrative tasks, including documentation and billing, in compliance with legal and hospital policies.
  • Developing and implementing goals for patients.
  • Reviewing and adjusting treatment plans based on patient performance.
  • Educating and counseling patients and families on managing impairments and disabilities.
  • Supervising support staff, including orientation and instruction.
  • Collaborating with physicians and healthcare team members.
  • Maintaining licensure and complying with regulations.
  • Ensuring legal, safety, and infection-control standards are met.
  • Maintaining confidentiality and professional conduct.
  • Ensuring punctuality and attendance.
  • Adapting assessments and treatments to meet individual needs.
  • Engaging in continuing education to stay current in the field.
  • Using assistive devices for lifting and adhering to safety protocols.
  • Meeting vaccination and health requirements as per DRH policies.
  • Performing other duties as assigned.
  • Minimum Qualifications:

    Excellent communication skills in English, basic computer proficiency, and the ability to adapt quickly to urgent situations. Strong analytical, reading, interpreting, and critical thinking skills are essential, along with attention to detail and compassionate communication.

    Education and Experience:

    Masters or doctorate in Physical Therapy; at least 1 year of related experience preferred.

    Certifications and Licenses:

    Current Oklahoma licensure, BLS certification (CPR and AED), and valid driver’s license if travel is required. Up to 30 days post-hire to obtain certifications if necessary.

    Additional Requirements:

    This is a safety-sensitive position requiring drug testing and adherence to vaccination policies, with exemptions available for medical or religious reasons.
