Location: Duncan, OK
Overview
The Account Supervisor will manage asset utilization and drivers to ensure a high level of customer service and fleet profitability. The role includes coaching and mentoring staff and administering trainings and operational processes.
Responsibilities- Direct and indirect management of drivers, office staff, and customer accounts.
- Direct management and oversight of Transportation Network Coordinators’ and Logistics Coordinators’ day-to-day operations.
- Manage freight and drivers’ hours under DOT regulations to ensure safe and timely deliveries.
- Manage the use of all assets including trucks and trailers, with emphasis on utilization; may include slip-seating for some local accounts.
- Lead safety initiatives; work with Safety to track trends, identify root causes, and implement solutions for accidents and safety concerns; manage drivers’ safety training compliance monthly.
- Communicate proactively and professionally with customers; ensure freight commitments are met and customer needs are addressed promptly.
- Handle urgent situations in a professional manner.
- Able to handle multiple tasks and work effectively independently or in a team.
- Collaborate with other department leaders to establish goals, align priorities, and define processes.
- Practice and observe safety rules and encourage others to do so.
- Maintain a professional appearance and image in accordance with dress code policies.
- Treat individuals with care, dignity, fairness, respect, and recognition.
- Work productively with supervisor and peers; demonstrate teamwork and problem-solving; provide excellent customer service.
- Adhere to company policies and ensure employees are knowledgeable and compliant with standards.
- Proficient with office equipment and computers; familiarity with Microsoft Office suite.
- High school diploma or GED required.
- 4-year degree in a related field preferred or equivalent on-the-job experience.
- Transportation industry experience preferred; familiarity with industry-specific programs.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks with frequent interruptions and delays.
- Remain focused and effective under varying circumstances; handle requests via phone and in person.
- Maintain professionalism in challenging situations; may work at customer locations with their rules and requirements.
- Occasional travel by air or car.
