Responsibilities

  • Set up and operate multiple CNC machine tools in a low volume, high mix, job shop environment.
  • Take responsibility for all phases of the process from the first cut to the last completed piece.
  • Execute work according to safety regulations and maintain high-quality standards aligning with ISO/TS, IRIS, AAR & CMMI requirements.

The actual hourly rate offered may be influenced by factors such as training, transferable skills, work experience, education, business needs, market demands, and location. What do we want to know about you?
  • Must be able to work the Weekend Shift: Friday - Sunday 5:00am - 5:00pm (paid 40 hours)
  • Preferably an associate degree in Machine Tool Technology (MTT), High School Diploma, GED, and relevant/significant work experience.
  • Minimum of 5 years CNC experience
  • Knowledge of basic shop math (e.g., Trigonometry, Pythagorean Theorem)
  • Ability to interpret and edit CNC programming
  • Knowledge of GD&T, inspection methods and identifiers (symbols)
  • Basic rigging principles, crane operation, crane & hoist inspection, and safe practices
Competencies, Knowledge, Skills, And Abilities
  • Ability to plan and execute highly complex work to precision tolerances, allowances, and finishes.
  • Ability to read and interpret complex engineering blueprints, tool prints, and sketches.
  • Must be able to work without supervision.
What will your typical day look like?
  • Perform setup of machine tool within standard route time.
  • Operate multiple machine tools simultaneously.
  • Aim for productivity based on product cycle time >90%.
  • Navigate FANUC controls and use wear & geometry pages to ensure conformance.
  • Troubleshoot to quickly resolve problems and return to production.
  • Use Renishaw Probing system and perform simple functions (Easy Setting).
  • Setup and operate CMM; inspect product to blueprints using gauging.
  • Complete and sign off FAI (First Article Inspection).
  • Enter SPC data and adjust the process based on analysis.
  • Perform TPM inspection on equipment and complete checklists.
  • Maintain 5S in the work cell with daily 5S activities.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives (SMED, Kaizen, Fixture Design, etc.).
  • Other duties as assigned.
What about the physical and environmental demands?

The physical demands described are representative of those required to perform essential functions. Reasonable accommodations may be made. The role requires standing, walking, handling objects, and occasional lifting up to 30 pounds. Vision requirements include close, distance, color, peripheral, depth perception, and focus adjustment. The work environment is indoor manufacturing with exposure to machinery, overhead cranes, and forklift traffic; PPE is required as needed.
