We’re looking for a Lead Technician to safely lead a team in assembling products to Wabtec’s quality standards. The Lead is responsible for ensuring that the team works effectively, providing high‑quality products and customer service to Wabtec’s stakeholders.
How will you make a difference?The Lead Technician will drive customer satisfaction through detailed focus on product reliability and provide direction for an hourly production team encompassing EHS, quality, material, process and delivery.
What do we offer?- The hourly range for this role is between $20.00+ an hour.

What do we want to know about you?- Able to work 1st shift hours: 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM
- High School Graduate or GED.
- 2+ years of assembly experience in a manufacturing/industrial environment.
- Ability to use tools and equipment required for assembly operations in an industrial setting.
- Good listening and communication skills.
- Team player, able to work well with others.
- Monitor and maintain safety procedures and conditions.
- Provide direction and support for an hourly production team.
- Motivate employees to perform duties using established procedures.
- Lead and support continuous improvement activities.
- Ensure all company policies are followed.
- Work with Supervisor/ME to develop and execute training plans.
- Ensure operators are sufficiently cross‑trained to optimize resource usage safely and correctly.
- Communicate clearly with the work group and follow up on concerns promptly.
- Troubleshoot and solve operation problems when identified.
- Promote a culture of teamwork, continuous improvement and collaborative problem‑solving.
- Identify opportunities to increase employee engagement and collaboration across work groups.
- Comprehensive knowledge of manufacturing techniques and processes.
- Strategic and creative thinking to analyze issues and create solutions.
- Basic shop math skills in all units of measurement.
- Ability to read and use gauges and measuring instruments.
- Attention to detail and ability to work in a fast‑paced environment.
- Knowledge of production/materials control systems.
- Understanding of continuous improvement, lean manufacturing concepts and production schedules (preferred).
- Strong organizational skills.
- Effective communication, interpersonal skills and ability to influence, motivate and coach.
- Basic computer skills.
- Ability to read technical specifications.
- Ability to stand for extended periods.
- Lift up to 50 pounds.
