*** HOURS OF WORK: 6:00am ? 4:30pm, M-F some Saturdays OVERTIME MANDATORY IF REQUIRED MANAGER'S MOST IMPORTANT EXPERIENCE/SKILL SET BELOW:
Dependability Be able to follow directions Lift 50lbs 3 years paint experience MUST HAVE INDUSTRIAL PAINTING EXPERIENCE AND NOT COMMERCIAL Operate a spray painter or other equipment to apply paint finishes on manufactured products. PRIMARY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES - Inspect and set-up equipment.
- Operate sanders, sand blasters, sprayers, and other power equipment - Clean, prep, and mask surfaces for painting/coating.
- Select and mix paint according to NOV and/or customer requirements.
- Perform spray painting functions related preparatory undercoating, preservatives, and lubricants.
- Clean and maintain paint shop equipment.
- Clean and store empty paint containers for proper disposal.
- Ensure all work performed is in a quality minded, tidy & accurate manner.
- Adhere to all Company policies - Follow all applicable company and corporate policies, guiding principles, procedures, and programs, including but not limited to quality, health, safety, and environmental requirements.
- Attend work per work schedule.
- Perform other work-related tasks as assigned. EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE QUALIFICATIONS - High School Diploma or Equivalent - 3+ years related experience painting a variety of surface types - Basic reading, writing and math skills (required) - Familiarity with standard power and hand tools - Manufacturing or experience working with large equipment (preferred) - NACE certification (preferred) JOB REQUIREMENTS - Must be able to lift to 50 pounds - Must be able to pass pulmonary Function and Respiratory Function Tests BEHAVIORAL COMPETENCIES - Must be able to work under limited supervision - Must possess good communication skills - Attention to details TECHNICAL COMPETENCIES - Knowledge of the tools, equipment, and application techniques common to this trade - Knowledge and skill in handling, applying and disposing of hazardous materials.
