About REEcycle
REEcycle is an American rare earth elements (REE) recycling company focused on recovering rare earths from end‑of‑life NdFeB magnets to bolster U.S. supply chain resilience and reduce dependence on foreign sources of critical minerals. Backed by U.S. Department of War funding, we are establishing production at our facility in Duncan, Oklahoma. This is a rare opportunity to help build a first‑of‑its‑kind commercial plant from the ground up.
TheOpportunity
As a Plant Operator, you will ensure the safe and efficient operation of the processing circuits and equipment that recover rare earth from recycled magnet feedstock. This includes taking process readings, adjusting equipment, recording data, monitoring and controlling flows, handling chemicals and reagents, and performing routine inspections and housekeeping. This is a full‑time, on‑site (not remote) position in Duncan, OK.
Responsibilities- Conduct pre‑shift work area exams and equipment inspections to identify substandard or unsafe conditions, take necessary steps to correct them, and document any conditions not corrected by end of shift.
- Operate assigned circuits and equipment safely, efficiently, and reliably, maintaining operating parameters within designated limits.
- Monitor and control product flows; make calculations and adjustments as needed to maintain circuits within specification.
- Ensure all sampling is conducted at designated intervals, accurately processed, and results documented per procedure; maintain orderly operator log sheets.
- Start and stop equipment; understand process flows and equipment fundamentals to properly execute Lock Out Tag Out (LOTO) and troubleshooting actions.
- Safely handle a variety of chemicals and reagents using appropriate PPE.
- Perform or assist with minor mechanical tasks and preventive maintenance within the scope of training and skills.
- Perform general labor duties and assisting other operators as needed.
- Maintain housekeeping and circuit cleanliness to ensure safe operation; report and address all safety and environmental concerns.
- The ability to work a rotating schedule of nights and days, including weekends and holidays, is an essential function of this role.
- Minimum of three (3) to five (5) years’ experience working in a processing facility is required.
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- Demonstrated ability to prioritize and work with minimum supervision, with a proven safety and attendance record.
- Ability to perform the essential functions of the position, including working in hot or cold weather conditions.
- Ability to communicate in English with respect to job assignments, procedures, and applicable safety standards.
- Valid driver’s license required.
- Direct experience working in a process or mining environment.
- Experience handling chemicals and reagents.
- Knowledge of processing equipment, including operating parameters and limits.
- Must be able to regularly lift moderately heavy objects (50 lbs, occasionally up to 75 lbs), climb ladders and stairs, and stand for extended periods.
- Candidates must pass all required training and testing and may be required to pass a medical exam.

- Must be able to work safely in and around strong permanent magnets and magnetic fields; individuals with pacemakers, implanted medical devices, or other conditions affected by magnetic fields should consult occupational health regarding their ability to perform this function.
