American Traveler is hiring an experienced ICU RN for a 13-week travel assignment requiring 2+ years of ICU experience and OK or compact RN licensure.

• Surgical Intensive Care Unit setting within a hospital
• Patient ratios of 1:2 to 1:3
• Day shift schedule (3x12 hours, 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM)
• Weekend shifts required
• On-call responsibilities required
• Floating to Med Surg required within scope of practice
• Block scheduling accommodated
• Meditech charting experience preferred

• Active RN license (OK or compact) required
• Minimum 2 years of ICU experience required
• Current certifications required: ACLS, BLS, PALS
• Additional certifications preferred: CPI, ISTAT, NIHSS
• Community hospital experience required
• LTAC experience preferred
• Prior travel nursing experience required
• Pending RN license not accepted
• Skilled in IV therapy, central/PICC/arterial line management, and blood product administration
• Experience with ventilator care, HFNC, ABG interpretation, and airway suctioning
• Experience managing cardiac and vasoactive drips, continuous IV sedation, and procedural sedation
• Experience with cardiac monitoring, dysrhythmia management, and multisystem organ dysfunction care
• Experience with post cardiac surgery care, cardiac catheterization, sheath removal, and VAD management preferred
• CVA/acute stroke management experience preferred

• Provide direct care to critically ill surgical ICU patients including those with multisystem organ dysfunction
• Support cardiac, renal, respiratory, neurological, and GI patient populations
• Follow infection prevention and isolation precaution protocols
• First-time travelers will not be considered for this position
• Local candidates accepted, though a 45-mile radius applies for travel rate eligibility
• No RTO restrictions
• Travel pairs allowed
