Pay: $90k-$110K
Position SummaryThe EHS Advisor is responsible for guiding and supporting Operations Managers to champion the environmental health and safety of a designated area of responsibility. The EHS Advisor will be the primary resource to line managers and employees to achieve the company’s EHS goal of a hazard-free workplace through risk analysis and ensuring workforce compliance and awareness.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities- Ensure all employees are trained and progress is tracked for EHS safety processes and procedures, including New Hire Orientation, Annual and Remedial training programs.
- Monitor health and safety compliance by conducting workplace inspections and audits.
- Provide interpretation and implementation of regulatory requirements to ensure federal, state, and local rules, regulations and codes are met in accordance with the current established standards.
- Ensure all EHS documentation and records are collected and maintained in accordance with company operating practices.
- Assist line management in conducting investigations for accidents, near-misses, substandard hazard condition reporting, and employee suggestions/complaints.
- Identify root causes and trends.
- Recommend mitigation methods.
- Ensure documentation is completed, filed, and shared within the company system.
- Review and audit corrective actions for completeness and effectiveness.
- Recommend accident prevention methods.
- Collaborate with US Services Team Members to develop procedures, policies, and training materials for a centralized US-Services EHS program.
- Communicate, coordinate, and deploy company EHS directed initiatives with the Area of Responsibility.
- Evaluate and recommend improvements for hazard-specific tasks and functions.
- Manage OSHA 300 logs for the Area of Responsibility.
- Act as liaison between employee, management, and Workers Compensation coordinator during the workplace injury and illness management cycle.
- Evaluate workplace hazards through performing and reviewing Job/Area Hazard assessments, safe work practices and pre-task documentation.
- Be an active leader in supporting and promoting core company values in exceeding EHS goals.
- Perform other administrative and miscellaneous duties as requested, directed, or assigned.
- A bachelor’s degree in an EHS-related field and/or demonstrated 3 to 5 years of operational EHS experience.
- Knowledgeable in applicable standards and industry best practices (i.e., OSHA, NFPA, EPA, NIOSH, etc.).
- CSP or ASP working toward obtaining CSP preferred.
- Incident management, root cause analysis, and investigation skills; ensures appropriate corrective actions development, tracking and effectiveness reviews.
- Knowledgeable in Hazard Recognition and Mitigation Control.
- Experience in developing, implementing, and delivering training in formal presentations and out-of-classroom (virtual) sessions.
- Experience with operational use of computer-based tools such as an EHS Management System and MS Office application (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Visio, etc.).
- Leadership – mentor and build EHS capabilities in the AOR management by providing ongoing feedback and opportunities to learn company EHS processes.
- Flexible – open to change, travel, and new information, rapidly adapting to evolving conditions and/or unexpected obstacles.
- Detail oriented – excellent attention to detail with the ability to follow through on assigned tasks.
- Autonomous – able to set priorities while working under limited supervision.

- Work may be an indoor or outdoor environment.
- Ability to work extended work hours as needed, such as during emergencies at a worksite.
