Sales Associate

We are currently looking for a Part-time 38-hour per week Sales Associate to join our Rustic Trail Gift Shop team at Chisholm Trail Casino in Duncan, OK.

Summary:

Provides exceptional customer service while assisting patrons with retail purchases in the Gift Shop. Responsible for accurately processing sales transactions, handling cash and credit card payments, maintaining merchandise presentation, and promoting products to enhance the guest experience and support store sales objectives.

Responsibilities:

Customer Service & Sales

• Provides first-class customer service to internal and external customers and responds to inquiries, compliments, and complaints with professionalism, courtesy, and efficiency.
• Greets and assists customers with product selection and purchasing decisions.
• Engages customers and promotes products to enhance guest satisfaction and increase store sales.
• Assists customers in locating merchandise and may facilitate special-order merchandise requests when available.
• Maintains a positive and welcoming shopping environment for guests.

Retail Operations

• Maintains a clean, organized, and safe work area.
• Maintains merchandise presentation and assists with stocking, organizing, and inventory-related activities as assigned.
• Maintains knowledge of and follows all applicable laws, regulations, policies, procedures, and guidelines for assigned work area.
• Completes all required training and participates in continuing development opportunities.
• Works collaboratively with team members to support operational goals and guest service standards.

Cash Handling & Reconciliation

• Picks up and signs for assigned cash bank at the beginning of shift.
• Accurately processes sales transactions using point-of-sale equipment.
• Maintains sales logs, inventory records, and transaction documentation as required for inventory and operational purposes.
• Audits and reconciles cash receipts, credit card transactions, and cash drawer balances.
• Completes required cash reports and related documentation accurately and timely.

Professionalism

• Maintains professionalism and adheres to Chickasaw Nation standards, including attendance, punctuality, and dress code requirements.
• Performs all other duties as assigned.

Experience: No prior experience required, retail experience a plus!

Education: High School, GED or Equivalent

Credentials:

• Must pass a gaming background check.
• Must obtain and maintain a gaming license or permit as required by assigned position.
• Must pass a pre-employment drug test with a negative result.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to stand for extended periods, up to 100% of the shift.
• Ability to walk for extended periods, up to 100% of the shift.
• Ability to bend, kneel, stoop, push, and reach.
• Ability to lift and/or carry up to 25 pounds.
• Requires hand-eye coordination, reaching, grasping, and manual dexterity.
• Ability to operate point-of-sale terminals and related retail equipment.
• Requires visual acuity for detail, distance, color, and depth perception.

Working Conditions

• Retail store environment.
• Exposure to secondhand smoke may occur.
• Bright and flashing lights may be present.
• Elevated noise levels may be present.
• Regular use of point-of-sale equipment.
• Frequent interaction with guests and customers throughout the shift.
• Team-oriented environment.
• Exposure to blue and/or white light from retail displays, lighting, and computer equipment.
• May work day, evening, weekend, holiday, or rotating shifts.

Training
