A Pre‑Delivery Inspection Technician is an entry‑level automotive apprentice, training to become an automotive technician. The position requires a minimum of one year of technical training or shop experience under supervision, a strong mechanical aptitude, and the ability to read repair orders and conduct preventive maintenance.

Below is an overview of the duties and responsibilities you would take on in this role:

• Perform preventive maintenance duties with supervision using a basic understanding of automotive concepts and theories
• Read and understand repair orders
• Safely operate shop equipment and tools
• Complete pre‑delivery inspection, including detailing of all units ready for delivery
• Take direction and perform high‑quality work, meeting all company standards
• Maintain and protect company‑owned property
• Use shop tools and equipment with care, returning them in the same condition as received
• Follow company safety protocol at all times and keep the work area clean
• Perform additional location‑specific duties as applicable
• Other duties as assigned

Minimum

Job Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Minimum one year of technical training or shop experience with supervision
• Displays mechanical aptitude
• Personal tools not required
• Ability to obtain and maintain a valid driver’s license
• Positive, professional attitude

Physical Requirements

• Must be able to lift, push, and pull a minimum of 50 pounds
• Must perform frequent kneeling, stooping, squatting, crawling, and climbing to carry out tasks of the position
• Good manual dexterity required
