A Pre‑Delivery Inspection Technician is an entry‑level automotive apprentice, training to become an automotive technician. The position requires a minimum of one year of technical training or shop experience under supervision, a strong mechanical aptitude, and the ability to read repair orders and conduct preventive maintenance.

Below is an overview of the duties and responsibilities you would take on in this role:
- Perform preventive maintenance duties with supervision using a basic understanding of automotive concepts and theories
- Read and understand repair orders
- Safely operate shop equipment and tools
- Complete pre‑delivery inspection, including detailing of all units ready for delivery
- Take direction and perform high‑quality work, meeting all company standards
- Maintain and protect company‑owned property
- Use shop tools and equipment with care, returning them in the same condition as received
- Follow company safety protocol at all times and keep the work area clean
- Perform additional location‑specific duties as applicable
- Other duties as assigned
Minimum
Job Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Minimum one year of technical training or shop experience with supervision
- Displays mechanical aptitude
- Personal tools not required
- Ability to obtain and maintain a valid driver’s license
- Positive, professional attitude
Physical Requirements
- Must be able to lift, push, and pull a minimum of 50 pounds
- Must perform frequent kneeling, stooping, squatting, crawling, and climbing to carry out tasks of the position
- Good manual dexterity required
